I was born and raised in Oakland, where cannabis was always in the mix. But living in a strict household meant cannabis was a taboo subject. As I grew older and more curious, I began to research  the beneficial properties of cannabis, which inspired me to move to Mendocino County at age 18, and there I finally saw  cannabis for what it really is — medicine.

I’ve been blessed to learn from local Mendo farmers, who have given me many tips and tricks on all things cannabis, and helped me broaden my perspective of what goes into the herb we consume. Growing cannabis outdoors by myself  has taught me patience and how, just like a fruit tree, cannabis requires a lot of love and attention before you get the golden fruit. The culmination of all of the experiences mentioned above inspired me to share with society what this magical plant has to offer.

When I’m not spreading knowledge, I’m creating a zen space for a solo smoke sesh, which I consider another form of research. Some activities I enjoy after medicating include: eating, reading, cleaning, drawing and cooking. Let me help you discover which activities and strains pair perfectly for you.

My involvement in the cannabis industry began in 2017. From seed to sale, I have gained an abundance of knowledge from several different experiences which have intensified my desire to educate others and spread the word on the wonders of this tremendously invaluable plant. Growing up on the east coast, the negative stigma around cannabis was extremely delusive and unfortunately a dark outlook still lingers among those who have been misinformed, but I aim to rise to the occasion of altering false speculations.

To me cannabis means medicine for the mind, body, and soul, it stands for community, and enriching a world with high spirits. It has been life-changing and deeply influential to work with such a powerful plant in Mendocino County where the roots run deep equally as much as the love for it grows far and wide. I have witnessed the truth of a gift bestowed upon us from our generous Mother Earth and I believe having cannabis integrated in our lives brings about a harmonious unification between the mental, physical, and spiritual. I’m here to guide you and help find the perfect medley that’ll take you to new heights... Let’s get elevated!

Rita

My cannabis journey began on the sandy shores of North Carolina. From the first puff, I appreciated how cannabis removed the walls we often safeguard ourselves behind, and how it, in turn, stimulated genuine connection and conversation. Being raised on the free-wheeling anthems of 60’s & 70’s rock n’ roll, I was inspired to pinball from N.C. across four continents, finally landing in Mendocino County in 2017.

I currently live off-grid with my sweetheart and tabby cat in a two room, mountaintop cabin surrounded by sprawling acres of swaying grass, enchanting madrones and a patchwork quilt of gleaming stars.

Over the past six years I’ve tended to cannabis from cracking seeds to final trim, with all of the watering, feeding, harvesting, pest prevention and so much more. Through gardening I’ve grown in practicing patience, listening and creative problem solving in order to become attuned to each plant's specific needs. Mother Nature, specifically cannabis, constantly reminds me to relinquish the notion of complete control and to learn to live in harmony with the factors that are out of my hands.
